My 25 Best Wineries in Colmar (2023) : Methodology And Dataset

My ranking of best wineries in Colmar is based on results of the 52nd Annual Colmar Alsace Wine Competition.

This competition was held on May 11, 2023. Organized annually by the Alsace Wine Professional Council, in partnership with the Alsace Winemakers Association, this event honors the finest AOC Alsace and Crémant d’Alsace wines.

Medals, either Gold or Silver, are awarded to standout wines from independent vintners, cooperative wineries, and producer-traders in the Alsace region.

And of course, I visited each of them to give you my opinion of their wines and welcome.

On my journey through Eguisheim, I stopped by Paul Schneider’s cellar. While they showcased a good sweet white wine that you’d adore, and even provided pretzel snacks for a local touch, the staff’s approach varied. Let’s just say, hospitality can make or break an experience.
